Sample tutorial: Kemp's Jig (Anon)

Treble recorder, lower intermediate

A renaissance favourite, first published in about 1600 and still popular in classical and folk circles today. Written to celebrate William Kemp’s ‘Nine Days Wonder’, during which this celebrated Elizabethan comedian and actor morris danced from London to Norwich. A creative and effective marketing coup for himself and a real ear-worm of a tune.
