Recorders: Dance & Sing Live Set 3
​

Real-time workshops via Zoom 
  • 3 Levels: Foundation, ​​Lower Intermediate, Upper Intermediate (click on the level to access description)
  • 3 Sessions: choose one, come for all three, or mix & match
  • 3 Objectives: lovely music, technical hints with effective practice methods, informed interpretation​

  • Maximum class size 10 (additional sessions will be arranged if sufficient demand)
  • Music sent out in advance, and recording of the workshop provided for participants use
  • Time allowed for individual questions, specific to the repertoire or more general 

Dates, Times & Repertoire (Set 3)

Foundation: Mondays 7.30 - 8.30 pm
  • 14th June: Handel – Bourree from Music for the Royal Fireworks plus another Bourree by ‘Anon’ (treble)
  • 5th July: Three lively tunes to develop dexterity, including Morley’s Now is the Month of Maying (treble)
  • 19th July: Finger - Andante (Sonata in G) plus a delightfully lilting Allegretto (18thC Anon) (treble) 

Lower Intermediate: Tuesdays 2.00 - 3.00 pm
  • 8th June: Handel – Allegro from Sonata in Bb major (treble)
  • 22nd June: Two Traditional Tunes – Edinburgh Town (Playford) and Miss Baker’s Hornpipe (descant)
  • 13th July: Bach – Two Minuets from Anna Magdalena Bach Notebook (treble)

Upper Intermediate: Tuesdays 7.30 - 8.30 pm
  • 15th June: Eileen Moore – January: Garnet from The Language of Precious Stones (19th C) (treble)
  • 6th July: Jacob van Eyck – Prince Robbert’s March (descant/tenor)
  • 20th July: Invention from Braun’s Solos from Pieces sans Basse (pub. 1740) (treble)
 
Fees: £10 if booking one session at a time; £9 per session if booking three or more sessions
